Celery Peppercorn



The ultimate power drink. The celery's green bouquet is complemented by savory spices and a touch of heat from Malabar peppercorn and dried red chilies. Bold enough to serve on its own or as the base for unusual Bloody Mary's. Best for simple to medium-complex drinks.

The Ultimate Bloody Mary

 

 

2 oz MS Celery Peppercorn vodka
8 oz Bloody Mary mix
[recipe below]
Tabasco to taste

Shake vodka, Mix and Tabasco well
Rim tall glass with celery salt
Garnish with a lime wedge

 

Mix Recipe -- Serves 8

46 oz V8
16 oz beef broth (sub veg broth if desired)
3 tsp cracked black pepper
4 tbsp finely grated fresh horseradish
3 tsp celery salt
5 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

2 lemons
3 limes
Cut fruit into quarters, squeeze juice and

    leave whole pieces in container
Mix in rest of ingredients and stir well
Keep chilled for use in cocktails

 

Roasted

Bloody Mary

 

 

1 oz MS Celery Peppercorn vodka
1 oz premium straight vodka, pref. potato
4 oz Bloody Mary mix
[recipe below]

Combine vodka and Mix well
Rim tall glass with celery salt
Garnish with a celery stalk

 

Mix Recipe -- Serves 4

12 oz low salt “garden patch” tomato juice
4 oz canned fire roasted whole tomatoes
1/2 clove garlic
1 tsp finely grated fresh horseradish
2 tsp fresh lemon juice
2 tsp fresh lime juice
1 tsp Worcestershire (or to taste)
1 tsp Tabasco (or to taste) 1/8 tsp celery seed, crushed
1/4 tsp celery salt
White pepper to taste
Salt to taste
Combine Mix ingredients in blender
Blend until smooth
Keep chilled for use in cocktails

Bloody Mary

 

 

3 oz MS Celery Peppercorn vodka
Serve chilled over a large Bloody Mary mix

   ice cube
Garnish with pickled green bean

 

Bloody Mary Ice Cubes -- Serves 16

Start with The Ultimate Bloody Mary Mix

   [recipe above]

Pour Mix into ice cube trays -- bigger

   cubes work better
Place in very cold freezer until frozen solid

Tomato Water

Bloody Mary

 

1 1/2 oz MS Celery Peppercorn vodka
2 oz Spiced Tomato Water [preparation below]

Shake lightly and pour into martini glass
Garnish with skewered cherry tomatoes

 

Spiced Tomato Water -- Serves 8

4 large, ripe tomatoes -- try green, yellow or red

   varieties for fun

Pulse in food processor with plenty of salt

Drain out liquid using cheese cloth (overnight)

Measure out 12 oz into sealable container

Add the following Spices to the container:

-  2 1/2 tbsp fresh lemon juice

-  1 1/2 tsp Tabasco

-  1 1/2 tsp  Worcestershire

-  2 tsp celery salt

-  1 tsp white pepper

Keep liquid chilled for use in cocktails

 

Ragin Cajun Bloody Mary

 

 

1 1/2 oz MS Celery Peppercorn vodka
3 oz Tabasco Bloody Mary Mix
2 dashes of Habanero Tabasco
Garnish jalapeño stuffed with pepper

    cream cheese
Top with Bacardi 151 Rum and light on

    fire

Bloodless Mary

 

 

3 oz MS Celery Peppercorn vodka
Shake vodka

Strain into a tomato-powder rimmed glass

Garnish with two jalapeno stuffed olives

 

Tomato Powder Recipe

2 dozen sliced Roma tomatoes (seeds

    and pulp removed)
Season with salt + pepper to taste
Lay out on a sheet pan and bake in oven

    overnight at 175 degrees
When completely dry and hard, grind in

    food processor to a powder

    consistency and store for future use
