Modern Spirits Pours Rose
Petal Vodka for Valentine's Day
LOS ANGELES, Jan. 8, 2008 -- Modern Spirits announced today the release of
its second seasonal flavor, Rose Petal Artisan Vodka. Made with only the
petals of three highly aromatic rose varieties that the founders grew in
their back yard, Modern Spirits Rose Petal captures the full range of this
beloved flower -- from sweet floral to spicy herbal. This vodka is ideal for
champagne cocktails and for pairing with desserts and even oysters.
"The ancient Romans fell in love with roses so much that they tried to
capture their intoxicating aroma and delicate flavor in sherbets and
puddings, and even flavored wines with the fragrant petals," says Melkon
Khosrovian, Modern Spirits co founder and vodka maker. "Rose Petal vodka is
our nod to their creativity and love for flavor during the season of love
and upcoming spring."
Modern Spirits Rose Petal will be available January 1 in most states that
carry the company's product line. Suggested retail price for Rose Petal is
$24.99 for 375ml bottles and $43.99 for 750ml bottles.

About Modern Spirits
True love started Los Angeles-based Modern Spirits, maker of one of the
finest lines of artisan vodkas available in the U.S. Husband-and-wife team
Melkon Khosrovian and Litty Mathew founded the company in 2004 after friends
and family began asking to buy the subtle, complex vodkas Melkon had created
for his then-fiancée (who hated vodka) to sip at family meals. Modern
Spirits uses only natural ingredients and small-batch production techniques
to handcraft its growing portfolio of vodkas.
